Trativod music band - Bluegrass‚ Country, Old Time
TRATIVOD is a five-piece traditional old-time/bluegrass band from the Czech Republic. The band’s sound has been influenced greatly by American old-time country and early bluegrassrecordings. Listen to our new records HERE. TRATIVOD was formed in the late eighties, mainly as a “pub group“ playing American country melodies sung in Czech. The current band was formed in 2007. Only one original member remains. TRATIVOD has evolved into a Czech Old-Time String Band. They feature fiddle, clawhammer banjo, mandolin, guitar, upright bass, and strong vocals (performed mainly in English). Along with the musical changes the new TRATIVOD increased its horizons. The band can now be seen not only in local pubs, but at regional clubs, festivals, and on local radio stations too. Two band’s maxi singles (2009 and 2010) document the recent musical progress. Two of the members travelled to America in the Summer of 2010 to experience a real American Fiddlers Convention. The all band visited the States to perform in the Summer of 2011. Trativod is continously going on at his music way and year 2013 was successful. At first Trativo won the 2nd (they shared 2 and 3 with ahother band) position at competition in Netherland - EWOB and secondly they travelled to USA again. They played there at Osborne Brothers Home Festival - In Hyden (KY) and participated at Fiddlers Convention in Galax (VA) too and won there fantastic 15th place in Old Time Band category.
